Can't Cry Through Kisses

Wow what a week:) I love this!!! So Marli is one week old today and its been an exciting one. Everyday she is learning new things like rolling on to her side and trying to hold her head up and look at you when lying on your chest. When I'm feeding her now and she doses off I no longer have to touch her with a cold rag I just have to say, "come on Marli" and she's back in business. She can even keep her attention enough while eating now that I can keep her clothes on! Everyday she is awake a little more and smiles a few more times, some of them might even not be gas. Russ is loving daddyhood too- other than feeling a bit helpless in the feeding department they love to nap and burp together. When we got her home on Monday evening we, yes both of us were changing her diaper (team work is quicker) and he would just kiss her and tell her over and over "you can't cry through kisses" and it worked, she stopped crying. She since has learned to cry through kisses but they can help calm her down a bit- it was really cute when it worked that one time. She is eating like a ravenous beast the last few days, so the 6lbs 6oz she was at her doctors appointment on Wednesday won't last long!
